TarDB employs cross-species conservation filter, degradome and sRNA-seq data to identify high-confidence miRNA targets in plants.

Carica papaya

The tree papaya (Carica papaya) was one of the earliest crops that was genetically modified (GM) and the sequenced genome comes from one GM variety ( Ming et al. Nature,2008). The papaya genome is estimated to have ~372 megabases on nine chromosomes, and contains 28,629 genes.
