Potatoes (Solanum tuberosum) are important worldwide crop. The genome of a diploid potato variety was published on Nature in 2011 (ref). The genome assembly contains 727?Mb of sequences distributed on 12 pseudomolecules. A total of 39,031 protein coding genes were annotated.
