Mimulus guttata (monkeyflowe) is a yellow annual or perennial plant. Since Darwin, Mimulus species has been of interest to ecologists. M. guttata genome was sequenced in 2013 (ref), which is approximately 312.7 MB with 28140 protein coding genes.
