     

Soybean (Glycine max) is an important crop that provides the source of plant proteins and vegetable oil. The soybean genome contains ~950 megabases with 46,430 predicted protein coding genes spread on twenty chromosomes (Nature, 2010). The ancestors of soybean went through whole genome duplications. |
