Arabidopsis lyrata is closely related to Arabidopsis thaliana. A. lyrata is self-incompatable, while A. thaliana reproduces through self-fertilization. The A. lyrata genome is published on Nature Genetics in 2011 (ref). Its genome size is ~207 Mb of sequences distributed across seven chromosomes.
